BoardingNext · last updated 11 August 2026

BoardingNext shows live Swiss public-transport departure times. It has no accounts to sign up for, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. This page describes exactly what the app does with data, in plain terms.

What the app collects

DataWhyWhere it goes
Approximate or precise location To list and map the stops nearest to you. Read only while the app is open, and only after you allow it. Your coordinates are sent to our server to look up nearby stops, and are not stored or attached to you afterwards. Background location is explicitly blocked by the app.
An anonymous account identifier So the boards you build are kept and can sync to your devices. Created automatically. It is a random identifier — no email, name, phone number or password is requested or held.
The boards you build They are the app's whole purpose. Stored against your anonymous identifier: which stops, lines and directions you chose, and how you ordered them.
A daily request count To stop one device exhausting the shared transit-data quota for everyone else. A number per day against your anonymous identifier. No request contents.

The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, advertising identifier, or device identifiers. It contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK.

What is stored on your device

Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

Services the app relies on

Sharing

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. Data is passed to the services above only as needed to answer what you asked for — for example, a coordinate is passed on so the transit service can say which stops are nearby.

Keeping and deleting

Delete my data, in Settings, permanently removes your account and every board on it from our servers. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

Clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling it, only removes what is on your device — your boards stay on our servers under the same anonymous identifier, simply not reachable from that install any more. To actually remove them, use Delete my data first.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version always lives at this address.

Questions about privacy: forestier.f@proton.me. For deletion, use Delete my data in Settings rather than writing in — an anonymous account has no email or name attached to it, so there is no way to look one up from an email alone. See deleting your data for details.
